The ELLIS Pre-NeurIPS Fest 2026 brings together researchers from the ISTA ELLIS community to share the work they will present at NeurIPS 2026, one of the world’s leading conferences in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
The event offers a unique opportunity to get an overview of the diverse research that the ISTA ELLIS community will present at NeurIPS, exchange ideas with fellow researchers, and receive valuable feedback on talks and posters in a friendly and collaborative environment.
The event is open to the entire ISTA community. Whether you are actively working in AI and machine learning, interested in learning more about current research directions, or simply curious about the work that will be presented at NeurIPS this year, you are warmly invited to attend.
Join us to discover the exciting research being developed across the ISTA ELLIS community and to celebrate another successful year of contributions to the international AI research landscape.

Presentation opportunities
When registering, you can choose one of the following options:
🎤 Oral Presentation
All researchers with a poster accepted at NeurIPS are welcome to register for a 10-minute oral presentation followed by 2 minutes for questions.
Please note that:
- Giving a talk does not replace the poster presentation
- All speakers are also expected to bring and present their poster during the poster session
- The organizing committee will automatically reserve a poster board for all selected speakers
⚠️Exception: Researchers whose work has been accepted as an oral presentation at NeurIPS are not required to bring a poster
🖼️ Poster Presentation
The Pre-NeurIPS Fest is first and foremost a poster event, and the poster session is a valuable opportunity to:
- receive feedback from colleagues and peers
- practice explaining your work
- refine your presentation before NeurIPS
We therefore encourage all presenters to bring a well-prepared, conference-ready poster!
🍰 Additional warning: Participants arriving with suspiciously unfinished posters may experience a statistically significant reduction in cake-related opportunities!

Not presenting this year? You are still very welcome to join us, attend the talks, engage in discussions, and connect with your colleagues and peers!

Registration deadline: November 10th, 2026
Please indicate during registration whether you wish to:
- present a talk (and automatically a poster),
- present a poster only,
- attend without presenting
⚠️ Please be considerate of the organizing team: registering within the deadline helps ensure a smoother setup, proper allocation of poster boards, and enough refreshments for everyone
